Denmark has advanced its defense interoperability with the successful completion of a live F-35 Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) demonstration, conducted in partnership with Lockheed Martin Skunk Works庐.

The test validated the F-35鈥檚 ability to serve as a force multiplier by connecting platforms and systems across dispersed domains. During the event, Danish F-35s flying from Fort Worth, Texas, securely transmitted classified data through DAGGR-2鈥攁n Open Systems Gateway developed by Skunk Works in collaboration with the Missile Defense Agency.

Using commercial satellite communications, the data was relayed and displayed in real time at Skrydstrup Air Base in Denmark.

鈥楢 significant milestone鈥 for Denmark鈥檚 F-35 program

鈥淭his marked a significant milestone toward enhancing Denmark's capabilities, as it enabled our MDO staff to witness in real-time the potential of the F-35鈥檚 ability to collect, analyse and share advanced data across geographically dispersed networks,鈥 said Danish Air Chief Maj. Gen. Jan Dam. 鈥淥ur close collaboration with Skunk Works has been instrumental in accelerating the rapid deployment of such capabilities, and we're very pleased with the results.鈥

Rapid Integration, Global Scale

The demonstration is the latest in a series of MDO events showcasing how international partnerships can deliver ready-now solutions.

F-35 Delivers Multi-domain Advantage and Expands Danish Fleet

The demonstration coincided with the delivery of four additional Danish F-35s, expanding the Royal Danish Air Force鈥檚 fifth-generation fighter fleet. These jets will operate from Skrydstrup Air Base and support NATO missions and regional security operations.

The event reinforces the F-35鈥檚 role as the world鈥檚 most connected and survivable fighter, designed to operate across air, land, sea, space and cyber domains. It also highlights the aircraft鈥檚 critical value as a joint force enabler for allied deterrence.聽
